Testing the Online Ticket Buying Process
It's a great idea to pose as a guest coming to your site so you can preview your tickets, instructions and run a live test of your credit card processing.
If you are not actually buying a ticket for yourself, you can set up and buy a $0 Ticket.
Log out to test how guests will access the Registration pages:
Log out, then go to the Homepage
1. Click on Buy Tickets link in navigation bar
2. Click on Buy Tickets button in Support Us section.
You can also provide hyper-links directly to the Online Registration page: http://[your site's base URL]/tickets/ticket_sales
Check Appearance and Select a Ticket
1. Check Appearance of page particularly ticket details and instructions provided.
2. Select a ticket
3. Add Tickets to order
Review page, then complete the fields as instructed:
1. Check appearance of page - particularly if you have added any instructions, items for sale and/or custom fields.
2. Enter your info into the appropriate fields, using your own email so you receive the email confirmation and receipt.
3. If you are buying a $0 ticket, add a $1 donation so you can test credit card processing.
4. Continue.
Confirm your order:
1. Review the page, particularly how the tickets/items display.
2. Confirm your order.
3. Submit order to process payment.
Review and Print Receipt:
1. Review confirmation message. Name that appears on statement defined at Admin > Site Settings > Payment / Credit Card > General
2. Review Receipt (see below)
3. Test Return button (defined at Admin > Site Settings > Ticket Sales > Online Ticket Sales).
Review Receipt:
1. Set up or Edit your Guest Receipts at Admin > Site Settings > Customize Your Site > Setup Guest/Sales Receipt.
After completing the Ticket Purchase, review the Confirmation Email you receive:
1. Review message and edit as desired at Admin > Site Settings > Ticket Sale > Emails.
2. Use link to review access to buyer's account.
