Cloning Items
Cloning an item can save data entry time for items that are nearly identical (eg, clothing in different sizes) or when you want to sell identical items differently (eg within different lots/baskets).
Silent Items entered with a quantity >1 will share the same item number but have separate bid sheets generated for each.
If you would like some or all of the duplicate items to have separate item numbers (so they can be assigned to different tables and/or included in a lot with other items) you can Clone the original item.
Note: Cloning does not work with Lots (Items that have been combined into a single package with a single item number)
To clone an item:
Go to Catalog - Grid View
Clicking on "clone" creates a new Item - denoted by (1)
From the Item Detail Screen, you can edit as needed (qty of original item will also be cloned) and Save.
You may clone as many copies as necessary. Note that each has a unique name (and item number):
