Managing The Tax Rates For Your Item Sales

Before entering too many items for your event, you should set the tax rates that are associated with each item. The choices will appear when the "This item is taxable" box is checked at the bottom of the Item detail screen.

To set the tax rates for sales:

Go to Admin > Site Settings > Catalog > Tax Rates

3. Fill this in to describe the tax in the dropdown on the Items Detail page.

4. Enter the tax rate here as a decimal i.e. 0.06 is 6%.

5. Click on this box if the charitable contribution above the Fair Market Value is NOT taxable.

6.  The description box can be used  by your team to provide information on the tax code so it does not need to be researched each time.

7. Save your work.

Go to Catalog > Add or Edit an Item

Select the tax rates to apply when adding or editing an individual item or use the Bulk Edit feature to apply the desired tax rates to multiple items in a single action.
