Inviting Guests to Self Check-Out
The final step - inviting guests to Self Check-out - will take place during your event, once sales have been entered and your guests' purchases are in their shopping carts. Be sure to make an announcement so your guests know to check their smartphone for the message, understand their other options for checking out, and know how they will receive their purchases. . .
You can also send invitations to Self Check-out from the order page. This is the preferred method for post-event clean-up to capture payments for open orders without vaulted cards.
To invite guests to check-out via their smartphone during the event:
Go to Auction Night > Self Check-Out
Monitoring Self Check-Outs:
1. Email notifications will be sent to the address specified each time a guest completes the self check-out process.
2. Once a guest checks out online, the order will be display as "Completed" on the Order page and a search for the guest on the Check-Out screen will display a message "This guest has no open orders".
To send Invitations to Self Check-out from the order page, after the event:
Tip: Edit the text of your Self Check-out Invitation email to reflect the post-event scenario. . .
Go to Orders:
1. Filter for Open Orders.
2. Sort/Filter for Orders without vaulted credit cards.
3. Select desired records.
4. Bulk Actions > Send Email to Self Check-out.
