Authorize.net Setup
To Use This Page You Must Have the Following:
- Your account has been approved.
- You are clear that which type of account this is approved for - ( Is it a "card present" or a "card not present" or e-commerce account ? )
- You have onlline access to your authorize.net gateway account
Important things to know about using your authorize.net accounts with the auction software.
1. Authorize.net Card Present Accounts can be used only on event night at checkout and not to preswipe at checkin.
2. To preswipe at checkin you need an Authorize.net e-commerce account and CIM (Customer Information Manager) turned on in the account. CIM has a $20/month fee but can be turned on and off and you usually can do this through your gateway account.
3. Authorize.net - Card Vaulting Support needs to be selected from the dropdown in Event Night Processing if you want ot preswipe cards at checkin.
4. Address Verification Service (AVS) should be lowered in order to not have failures because the Guest's address does not match the card's billing address. The address match is locked at the point of the vaulting so altering a guest address requires a reswipe to have a different result.
Your Authorize.net Account Page
After logging in:
1. Click on Account
2. Click on Settings
3. Click on API Login ID and Transaction Key
Getting the API Login ID
1. Copy API Login ID exactly . (Paste it somewhere you have access or paste it into the correct place into your site - See below.)
2. Enter your Secret Answer.
3. DO Not Click on Disable Old Transaction Key
4. Click on Submit

Copy Transaction Key exactly . (Paste it somewhere you have access or paste it into the correct place into your site - See below.)
Connecting a Authorize.net e-Commerce Account to be used for Online Sales - Ticket, Online Auction payment, & Donate Now
- While logged in, Click on the Admin > Credit Card
1. Online Processing
2. Choose Authorize.net - Card Not Present from dropdown
3. Choose Types of Credit Cards you will accept from dropdown
4. Paste in your API Login ID - (Above) into Gateway API Login
5. Paste in Transaction Key - (Above) into Gateway API Password
6. Save
Connecting a Authorize.net e-Commerce Account with CIM to be used for your Event to allow Checkin Preswiping
- While logged in, Click on the Admin > Credit Card
1. Event Night Processing
2. Choose Authorize.net - Card Vaulting Support from dropdown
3. Choose Types of Credit Cards you will accept from dropdown
4. Paste in your API Login ID - (Above) into Gateway API Login
5. Paste in Transaction Key - (Above) into Gateway API Password
6. Save
Connecting a Authorize.net Card Present Account to be used for your Event only at Checkout (No Preswiping)
- While logged in, Click on the Admin > Credit Card
1. Event Night Processing
2. Choose Authorize.net - Card Present from dropdown
3. Choose Types of Credit Cards you will accept from dropdown
4. Paste in your API Login ID - (Above) into Gateway API Login
5. Paste in Transaction Key - (Above) into Gateway API Password
6. Save
