Taking the time to understand the data elements available when adding Donors and Items will save a lot of time later as you finalize your items and go to print out your material.
1 Glossary of the Edit Items
Each data element is explained with a description of where they appear and how choices affect later products that are printed or appear in the online catalog.
2. Taxes
Before you enter too many items, you will want to make sure you have the appropriate tax rates set up to associate with each item.
3. Adjusting Item Categories
Categories appear on the Items Detail page as a drop down selection and then also appears on the site homepage as a way for guests to browse your catalog. No category will appear on the homepage until at least one item is in that category. Each item can only be in one category.
4. Adding Donors
Start with the donors because each item is going to ask for a donor and the procurement team can start with a group of donors who remain constant from year to year.
5. Adding items
Can be initiated from the donor page or the Catalog page and can be seen as soon as you post it.
6. Packaging items Into Lots
Adding donations together to create a more valuable Item for guests to bid on.
